About the Artist

Third generation Oregonian Shanna Trumbly came from a family of creative individuals that gave her constant encouragement to always follow her passion with her art.

At the age of 17, she began her studies at the Art Institute of Seattle, where she studied the many aspects of graphic design, anatomy, illustration, and life drawing. After graduating from college at the age of 19, she began her career as an artist.

She moved to Portland, Oregon and started her business as a bead maker where she supplied the local bead stores with her creations. Soon she became a member of the Portland Saturday Market, which opened her eyes to the world of vending her art at shows and festivals. Over the years her creations and product have gone through numerous changes. Now she has a line of clothing that she sells along with her paintings and prints.

Colored pencil was always her choice medium for her illustrations up until October of 2007, when she decided to explore the world of paintings. "The Unforgettable Kiss" was the first of the series that she is now working on called "Day Dream". You can find Shanna and her creations at the Eugene Saturday Market, April through October, and at the Holiday Market, November and December.
